Description
Studio group portrait of the Hawera senior rugby team of 1928. The team is arranged into four rows with an inset photograph on either side. The players are all wearing striped rugby uniforms and there are four men in suits in the photograph. The photograph is mounted on card with the names recorded underneath.

Coleman (Coach). In the second row from left is Sergt. Henry (Vice-Pres), H. Hunter, W. Robinson, N. Patterson (Capt.), C. Hammond (Vice-Capt.), C. Paterson and R. Mortlock (Pres.). Seated in the front row from left is S. Riley, J. Cheevers and R. Barron (Hon. Treas.). The man in the inset photograph on the left is H. Mills and the man in the inset photograph on the right is G. Stagpoole.
