Description
Cailithrix penicillata. A small primate stuffed and mounted on a branch. The branch is then mounted onto a round piece of pumice. It has roan coloured fur giving it a striping appearance. There are long black tuffs out its ears giving it its common name of black-tuff marmoset.

It is a new world monkey from Neo-tropical forest on the Brazilian Central Plateau. They are typically tree dwelling rarely seen on the ground. Their diet consist of tree sap which they get by nibbling bark. The will eat insects and fruits in dry periods. Marmosets are important as seed dispersers for many tree species.
