Photograph looking along Devon Street, New Plymouth. Uncle Tom's Wardrobe is on the left hand side of the photograph and a sign that says 'Railway'. There are several horse-drawn carts, and people at various points on the footpath or in the middle of the street. On the right hand side of the photo are shops including a Tailor Draper, a sign with 'Crossing' on it, 'W Beale', and 'J Beale & Son Ironmongers & Merchants.'
