A roundish piece of andesite that has been broken at one end. It is a multi-coloured rock with red, black and grey throughout. On the bottom there is a hole.

Andesite is a volcanic rock with a bubbly texture. They have plenty of crystals in them. Mount Taranaki is made up of Andesite and is one of the perfect examples of an andesite cone. Some of the Andesite around Taranaki contain olivine, feldspar, squat augite and bladed hornblende.
