Dale Copeland is one of Taranaki's best known artists. Her work with the Taranaki art and artists has taken her around New Zealand and further abroad, including to New York in 2000. Along with Marianne Muggeridge, Dale was invited to mount an exhibition of Taranaki art in New York, exhibited at the Lincoln Centre in December. Marianne Muggeridge also travelled with Dale, accompanying the art of 21 Taranaki artists to the Big Apple. In return, New Jersey artist Little Bobby Duncan painted caps for both Dale and Marianne to commemorate their trip. This is Dale's cap from that time.
