Urenui Hotel
Description
The original Urenui Hotel. It may have been known as the 'Star Hotel', built in 1879, on the corner of Nikorima and Ngatoki Streets. A report in the Taranaki Herald dated May 1879, states the new Star Hotel as having a frontage of 40 feet, a depth of 40 feet and elevation of 24 feet. There are three horse-drawn carts in front of the hotel with several people, some sittiing on the carts and others standing on the road. A row of trees can be seen in the background on the right.

This appears to be the Star hotel aka Urenui hotel as built in 1879 on the corner of Nikorima and Ngatoki streets.
