Ngāmotu Beach and Port Taranaki, 1st January 1939
Large hand-tinted panorama of Ngamotu Beach and Port Taranaki made from two prints joined together. There are several houses and a large building in the foreground, and a park with trees and playground equipment on the right. A large crowd of people can be seen along the beach in the midground, along with many cars that have been parked on the sand. Three ships - 'Kommodore Johnsen', 'Norfolk' and 'Llandaff' can be seen in the port in the background, along with a number of smaller vessels in the water. The scene has been tinted in shades of blue, green, yellow and red. The panorama is in a wooden frame with glass.
