Description
A necklace made by Taranaki artist Jennifer Laracy, from the series ' The Last of the Milk and Honey '. The necklace is composed of two cream and grey cow horns, with a number of resin-coated, black and white seaweed pieces protruding from the open ends of the horns. This has been designed to look like a cornucopia. At the top of the horns there is a string of small cream shells attached by two metal ends to the horns, forming the chain of the necklace.

Jennifer Laracy was born in Wellington, but has lived and worked in Taranaki as a jeweller since 2005. e studied at Whitireia Community Polytechnic (visual arts) and at Quoil Contemporary Jewellery Gallery in Wellington. Her work is strongly informed by her life on a rural Taranaki farm, particularly the intensity of the farming lifestyle and also her simultaneous role as a mother. All her work is hand crafted and each piece is unique - nothing is mass produced.
