Royal Naval Division officers seated at a long table within a trench on the Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. The table appears to be carved from the earth. Some of the officers are reading newspapers. There are plates, mugs and other dining implements on the table. There are wooden beams over the top of the trench.
