View of a soldier seen from the rear bending over in a dug out in Gallipoli, Turkey. Items including shoes, blankets, canvas sheets and large rectangular tins are piled around the dug out. There is a washing line with blankets hung on it to the right. The negative is inscribed with "R. L. Cross" this could mean that the soldier in the photograph is Ralph Leslie Cross.
