Description
A soldier stands in a trench in Gallipoli, Turkey preparing food. He is standing at an improvised bench on the wall of the trench. Billy cans can be seen on this bench. A second soldier is seated in the foreground of the photograph. He has his back to the camera. Sandbags forming the top of the trench walls are visible beyond the two soldiers.
