View of the Red House Hotel on the corner of Devon and Gover Streets, New Plymouth. The Hotel is a two-storied wooden building with a balcony on the upper level. Signage on the Hotel reads "A. G. Bishop's Red House Hotel". Advertising on some of the Hotel's windows advertises ale. There is a young man standing in the street outside the Hotel. A bicycle leans against one the balcony's support poles behind him.
