Copy photograph of Major General Sir Edmund Leach, 50th Regiment. Leach (1836-1923) joined the 50th Regiment in 1854. The photograph is a portrait bust. Leach is wearing military uniform and is looking off to his left. He has a moustache. The photograph is included on page 37 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
