Copy photograph of Captain Arthur Ernest Harris, 43rd Regiment. Harris joined the regiment in 1854 and was promoted to Captain in 1861. The photograph is a portrait bust. Harris is wearing a dark jacket with a pocket handkerchief and is looking off to his right. He has a moustache, goatee and full sideburns. The photograph is included on page 34 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
