Copy photograph of two individual photographs of brothers Lieutenant Frederick Glover and Captain Robert Glover, 43rd Regiment. Both men were killed in battle at Gate Pa in April 1864. Lieutenant Glover on the left is seated at a table and is holding a book. He is wearing a dark coat with light trousers. Captain Glover on the right is standing with his left hand on his hip and a cane in his right hand. He is wearing a dark jacket and light trousers, and has a moustache. The photograph is included on page 33 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
