Lieutenant Glover on the left is seated at a table and is holding a book. He is wearing a dark coat with light trousers. Captain Glover on the right is standing with his left hand on his hip and a cane in his right hand. He is wearing a dark jacket and light trousers, and has a moustache. The photograph is included on page 33 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
