Description
Copy photograph of painted hatchment of the 43rd Regiment. The hatchment is diamond-shaped. Across the bottom are three banners with "Monmouthshire," "Infantry" and "Light" written in them. There are two flags crossed in the centre with a bugle and crown above. Around the edges are the names of locations where the 43rd Regiment has served. The photograph is included on page 32 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
