Description
Bodice made using coarse muka whenu stitched with white cotton using the takirua stitch, inside edge is a whiri / plait. Feather s include iridescent blue peacock on main body, red/ brown long dyed pheasant on the bottom attached to the red ribbon that , a band of white duck? feathers on the back egde and red dyed duck? feathers interspersed amongst the blue iridescent.
The feathers are layered in a continuous direction so that they face downwards on one side and continue in this direction up the bodice and over the collar in one direction to then face upwards on the opposite side of the garment.
