Copy photograph of Lieutenant R.C. Brook, 40th Regiment. The top left corner of the photograph has been cut on an angle. Brook is wearing a mid-tone jacket over a light waistcoat and trousers. He has a moustache and beard. Brook is standing with his left hand resting on the back of a paded chair and is looking off slightly to his right. There is a curtain partially visible behind him and the floor has a geometric pattern on it. The photograph is included on page 30 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
