Copy photograph of Warrant Office Edward Leckie, 18th Regiment. Leckie (c1838-1903) was born in Ireland and died in Auckland. He is shown wearing full military uniform. Leckie is wearing two medals, one for Long Service of 21 years and one for Good Conduct. He is holding a sword in his left hand and is standing in front of a studio backdrop with a hazy landscape. The photograph is included on page 28 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
