Copy photograph of Lieutenant Joseph Bolton, 12th Regiment. Bolton is wearing mid tone trousers with a dark tone jacket and waistcoat. His right arm is leaning on a pedestal which has a top hat and a sculpture of a horse and dog on it. Bolton is also holding a short stick in his right hand. The photograph is included on page 26 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
