He is standing with his left hand on the back of a carved chair covered with a crochet shawl. Minnett has a full dark beard. The photograph is included on page 25 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
