Copy photograph of Lieutenant William Jarvis Willis, 14th Regiment. Willis is shown from the chest up and is wearing a dark tone jacket. He has a moustache and beard. Willis was born in England in 1840 and settled in New Zealand following the New Zealand Wars. He was a Member of Parliament for the Manawatu region and died in 1884. The photograph is included on page 24 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
