G. M. Brasch's Store, Devon Street
Production date
1885
Description
View of a building on Devon Street, New Plymouth identified as G. M. Brasch's store. The store is a two-storied building with three street-facing windows on the upper level and large shop windows on the ground level. An awning extends over the footpath outside the store. Merchandise can be seen in the windows on the ground floor. Signage on the upper level windows identifies the building as also being home to the offices of R. C. Bauchope, commissioning land agent, and an accountant and a custom-house agent whose names are illegible. A man wearing a bowler hat is leaning against one of the awning's support posts. A young boy is standing near the shop entrance.
