The women all have their arms crossed. Standing in the back row are, from left to right, Patty Parkes, Betty Byars, Joan Taylor, Moira (or Moyra) Hickman, Dawn Mitchell and Jean Morris. Crouched in the front row on the left is Betty Boyd. The woman crouched in the front row on the right is unidentified. The women are in their costumes for "The Fleet's in Port Again", a dance they performed as part of the Opunake Patriotic Concert on 27 May 1940.
