Portrait of an elderly Māori man identified as Toheriri. Toheriri is seated on the ground in front of a wooden structure. Toheriri is cloaked in checked fabric and wears a mid-toned smoking hat with a white feather in it. Toheriri wears a short full beard. Toheriri was a survivor of the Te Rauparaha Wars.

Kia ora, do you have more information or whakapapa about Toheriri. My maternal grandmother was the daughter of Enoka Tunukoura Toheriri II and Te Aokauirangi TeOhaere; he was the son of Enoka Toheriri I who married Heni Kawhena. Lived at Waipiro Bay but he was connected to TeTeira Toheriri from Mahia. I also believe an Enoka Toheriri was on the original Trust deed for Tainui.
