Description
Three men seated in an open-topped automobile parked outside the Ōhura County Council building. The automobile was the first car to reach Ōhura during a trip from Taumarunui to Auckland that took an entire week. The man seated in the rear is County Clerk J.F. McClenaghan and Councillor W. Sandison is seated in the driver's seat. A small banner on the automobile reads "FORD". Signage on the building behind the car reads " OHURA COUNTY COUNCIL. Established 1910". The hills behind the council building show signs of bush clearing.
