Joan Glanville-Clark, Debutante

Description
Hand-coloured studio portrait of Debutante Joan Glanville-Clark (later Whittaker). Joan is seated in a white gown. She wears elbow-length white gloves and holds a bouquet of blue flowers. She also wears blue flowers in her hair. There is a potted-plant on a pedestal and some blinds in the background. The blinds have created interesting shadows on the curved walls to the left and right. Joan worked as a colourist for Swainson's Studios and hand-coloured this portrait herself.
