Documents pertain to a case filed by a farmer/former merchant (Young) against a merchant company (Wright Stephenson & Company) regarding a case moved into the court from the Magistrates Court at Stratford. The defendant allegedly sold the plaintiff Garton's Superlative turnip seed. The plaintiff, in turn, sold the seed to two clients (Huzziff and Neilson). When the crops grew, it became apparent that the turnip seed was actually rape seed. The plaintiff has compensated his clients and now seeks compensation from the defendant. Includes an affidavit of Cyril Stringer, and correspondence relating that the action was settled out of court.
