She is holding her hands in her lap. She is seated next to a table covered with a patterned table cloth. A vase of flowers sits on the table. A curtain is visible in the background. Hand tinting has been added to the table cloth and flowers. Gold paint has also been added to a brooch at the girl's neck. The portrait is framed by a thick matt that has been painted gold, then housed in an ornate dark wooden frame.
