Ambrotype portrait of the Reverend Henry Hanson Turton. Turton is pictured looking directly at the camera. One hand is tucked into his jacket. He is wearing a clerical collar. It appears a portion of the image may have been wiped away. The portrait is framed by an oval gold metal matt with an embossed metal edging, which is housed in a brown/maroon embossed leather case. The lid of the case is missing. Two hook clasps are mounted on the left hand side of the case.
