Description
Hand tinted ambrotype portrait of an unidentified woman and child. The woman is seated and the child is seated next to her on a table. The woman is looking at her child while the child is looking at the camera. The woman is wearing a jacket and bonnet. The child is wearing a skirt, a jacket and a hat. The woman's ribbon bonnet has been hand tinted green, the child's skirt pink and both have pink tinted cheeks. The ambrotype is surrounded by a plain gold metal matt with embossed metal edging and is contained within a maroon/brown plain leather case with gold paint around the edge. The case appears to have not included a lid.
