Description
Documents pertain to a case filed by a gentleman (Brown) against two farmers and the executors of the will of Thomas Bayly (Bayly & Bayly). The plaintiff was in partnership with Thomas Bayly in a business which involved the "purchase of native and other lands and the resale and disposal thereof at a profit". The case in question involves the following: acquired divers estates and interests in divers blocks of land known as Pohokura Huiakama Toko and Tutaeariari; a caveat forbidding sale and purchase of land; money owed for partnership transactions; fraudulent errors and omissions in account entries; and signatures obtained through fraudulent representation.
