Plan and specifications by architects Griffiths and Stephenson for a private hotel, also known as The Cargil Hotel at 60 Gill Street, built for Mr. C. Carter. In subsequent years the building was operated as the Grand View Boarding House managed by Elsie Peters. Owners in 1935 were Herbert and Sara Giles.
