 Description
A Kia Ora Cricket Club cap. The peaked green wool cap features a yellow felt crest on the front with " KO.C.C. " marked in green letters diagonally on it. " Kaiapoi / 7 / NAME............... / MADE IN NEW ZEALAND " is marked on a label on the inside. "Astridge " is just visible in faint handwriting on the label.

Robin Astridge wore this cap while playing for New Plymouth’s Kia Ora Cricket Club during the 1970s. Robin arrived in New Plymouth in 1972 and was selected to play for the senior team where he remembers the side had mixed success. The Kia Ora Cricket Club later amalgamated with the NewPlymouth Club and Robin continued playing for the combined team.
