A multi-coloured, long sleeved dressing gown fashioned from numerous assorted scraps of fabric stitched together using light green thread. The dressing gown can be fastened using two large buttons covered in light blue fabric at the front. It is lined with pale blue silk.
Marjorie Hunter started making this dressing gown while receiving treatment for tuberculosis in a 'TB (tuberculosis) ward' in Otaki during the 1940s. She is thought to have finished making it after returning home to New Plymouth.
