Description
View of the post office clock tower under construction on Broadway in Stratford. The tower is encased in scaffolding. Crowds of people and parked cars fill the street below. Part of the building from where the photograph was taken is visible on the extreme right of the photograph. Three people lean out of this building and look down the street. The post office building was officially opened on 20 June 1924 and demolished in 1963-1964.
