Description
A blue and white checked skirt made of silk with a short train. The skirt hem has been pulled up in the front and yellow velvet has been exposed with a velvet ruffle at the top. There is a side-back fastening and a pocket at the back. There appears to have been a panel inserted at the back for fullness which has shifted the pocket to the back of the garment. The garment is lined with cotton and is edged with a line of gathered lace at the hem. It has a waistband made of twill tape that fastens with metal hook and eye.
