Description
A full-length grey leopard-printed skirt. The waist is cartridge pleated into a brown cotton waistband and there is significant fullness at the rear. The garment is light weight but there is a stiff cotton and tulle that lines the skirt. Rows of pinked ruffles and piping run horizontally above the hemline.

This skirt was made for Mary Madeira Hamerton (nee Gledhill). She was married to Gervase Disney Hamerton, a solicitor who was one of the notable early settlers in Pātea and died in 1913.
