An arch spans across Devon Street, just past the railway crossing, decorated with foliage and banners reading "GOD BLESS THE QUEEN", "VR" and "LONG LIVE THE QUEEN". A group of people are visible on the right hand side of the street and a horse-drawn carriage is visible beyond the arch. The photograph's caption states that it was taken early in the morning.
