A truck is parked to the left of the workshop building and there are piles of timber stacked on either side of the driveway. Several other buildings are visible on the left hand side of the workshop building. Eleven Taranaki Education Board staff stand in front of the building. They have been identified as Norman Lobb, Joe Miller, Jack Milroy, George Pascoe, Stan Olson, Percy Muno, Harold Donaald Baker, Archie Miller and Charlie Moore. Many of the men wear work aprons.
