Copy photograph of Ensign Edward McKenna, 65th Regiment and Victoria Cross winner. The photograph is a bust portrait and shows McKenna as an older man wearing a suit. He has two medals pinned to his chest. He has grey hair and a grey beard. His name is signed on a piece of paper adhered beneath the photograph. McKenna was awarded the Victoria Cross for gallant conduct in the invasion of Waikato on 7 September 1863. The photograph is included on page 20 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
