Description
A large queue of women gathered on the footpath outside Whites Ltd during a wool sale in 1942. Knitting wool was being rationed due to the Second World War. One older woman is seated on a chair beside the queue. The woman standing fourth from the left, wearing a black hat and glasses and looking at the camera, has been identified as Lily Gertrude Bond.
