Inglewood War Memorial

View of the Inglewood War Memorial, junction of Rata and Matai streets, Inglewood. The memorial includes a white marble soldier on marble podium and bears the names of those from the district who fell in World War I and World War II. Originally built to commemorate Inglewood's fallen during the Great War, the flag mast was added in honour of those who fell in World War II. Their names were added to the original monument. The inscription on the front top section reads: "In Remembrance / of / The Men From The / Inglewood District / Who Fell In The / Great Wars / 1914-1918 / 1939-1945".
