Copy photograph of Sergeant Major William Alexander, 65th Regiment. Original photograph has been heavily hand tinted. The photograph is a bust portrait and shows Alexander in his military jacket. One arm leans against a table and he appears to be holding some papers in front of him on another surface. The photograph is included on page 20 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
