Copy photograph of Captain Thomas George Strange, 65th Regiment. The photograph is a bust portrait and shows Strange wearing his military jacket. Strange was killed on 10 February 1861 in the battle at Huirangi, near Waitara. The photograph is included on page 20 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
