 Description
A round 15 carat gold brooch with an open centre across which lies a fern leaf. The middle of the leaf is infilled with white enamel. " SOUTH AFRICAN / WAR" is marked in gold on the enamel. "MRS C.H. BURGESS / JUNE 1938. / HON. MEMBER / N.T.S.A.W.V.A." is marked on the obverse. "A TOKEN OF / APPRECIATION / AND DEVOTION." is marked on the reverse.
