Description
Wedding party of six. Serviceman Miles Newton King (1924-1984) and his bride Margaret (Bunny) King (nee Matthews) (1923-2021) with two unidentified bridesmaids and two unidentified groomsmen, also wearing serviceman uniforms. Miles trained with the Royal Canadian Air Force in Calgary before serving as a pilot with the RNMAF in the Western Pacific. He survived being shot down by the Japanese over Bougainville on 26 June 1945, crash landing into the sea, and later wrote an autobiography called 'The Sky My Canvas'.
