Parihaka, Concert Group
Description
A group of children perform in front of Te Niho o Te Atiawa at Parihaka. Many of the children wear piupiu and some some wear raukura (white feathers) in their hair. The children are mid-movement and so appear blurred. A group of four young boys sits behind the performers. Further men, women and children watch the performance from around the marae. Te Niho o Te Atiawa was the dining room on Pāra Huka marae. Since 1967, the dining room has been used as a sleeping room.
