City of New Plymouth Highland Pipe Band, Pukekura Park
Description
Members of the City of New Plymouth Highland Pipe Band are arranged in formation on the Pukekura Park Sportsground. There are some people watching them from the terraces. The Drum Major, K. J. "Jock" Campbell, stands at the front of the group holding a baton. The Pipe Major, Peter Davidson, stands at the front of the first column on the left. Amongst the pipers are: David Nicoll, Barry Freebairn, Alan Nicoll, Ron Wallace, Max Fisher, David Wighton, Warrick Dugdale, Murray Hellier and Des Batten. Amongst the drummers are Jim Freebairn, Peter Newsome, Neal Strawbridge, Jim Hickland, Ken MacLeod and Don MacLeod.
