Copy photograph of Octavius Hadfield, Bishop of Wellington and later the third Anglican primate of New Zealand. Hadfield is seated in profile and is wearing vestments. He has a long beard. Hadfield was the first priest to be ordained in New Zealand. The photograph is included on page 18 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
